Pakistan’s Interior Minister Arrives In Tehran For Fresh Diplomatic Talks

Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, arrived in Tehran on Saturday for a new round of diplomatic discussions aimed at easing tensions in the region following the recent conflict involving the United States and Iran.

According to reports from Iranian media outlets, Naqvi was scheduled to hold talks with Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen dialogue and explore pathways toward regional stability.

Reports also indicated that the Pakistani minister delivered a letter from Pakistan’s Army Chief, Asim Munir, to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Khamenei has maintained a relatively low public profile since assuming the country’s highest leadership position in March.

The latest diplomatic engagement comes as Pakistan seeks to position itself as a key mediator in regional affairs, particularly in the aftermath of the recent US-Iran conflict. Islamabad has increasingly emphasized dialogue and diplomatic engagement as a means of reducing tensions across the Middle East, with officials expressing hopes that continued negotiations can help prevent further escalation and promote long-term stability.

The visit highlights Pakistan’s growing role in regional diplomacy as countries work to manage the consequences of recent hostilities and preserve fragile peace efforts in the region.
