A 25-year-old man died after allegedly using industrial adhesive instead of a condom during a hotel encounter with his former fiancée, according to reports.
Salman Mirza checked into the Amber Hotel in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with his ex partner in June 2021. Investigators believe the pair had been using adhesive recreationally before allegedly deciding to apply the substance to his genitals as a form of contraception.
Less than 24 hours later, Salman was found unconscious in shrubs outside the hotel by an acquaintance. He was rushed to hospital but died shortly after arrival.
Police said CCTV footage confirmed Salman and his partner entered the hotel together. Authorities later launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Initial reports stated that Salman died from multiple organ failure, but investigators have continued to examine the exact cause. Forensic samples were sent for analysis after questions emerged over the role the adhesive may have played.
According to local reports, a mysterious green substance was discovered in his abdomen during the investigation. Officials have not yet confirmed whether it was linked to the adhesive.
Following his death, Salman’s family accused his former partner of applying the glue and filed a murder complaint with police. Authorities are continuing to investigate and say forensic findings will be key to determining exactly what happened.
Salman was the sole provider for his elderly parents and two sisters. The case remains under investigation.
