Israeli Strikes Kill at Least Two in Gaza, Destroy Tents at Displacement Camps

At least two Palestinians have been killed and several tents destroyed in Israeli strikes on displacement camps in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian health officials and local sources.

Footage from the Abu Khadra camp showed damaged tents, bloodstains and personal belongings scattered across the ground following the strikes.

The Israeli military said it carried out four strikes targeting militants in the area.

However, camp manager Shaaban Abu Zeidieh said four tents were completely destroyed and that people had been targeted in a passageway between the shelters.

Health officials also reported Israeli strikes in Zawaida in central Gaza and Khan Younis in the southern part of the territory.

The latest violence comes despite a ceasefire that began in October 2025, with continued Israeli military operations reported in parts of Gaza.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 1,372 Palestinians have been killed and 4,659 injured by Israeli fire since the ceasefire began.

The United Nations considers the ministry’s casualty figures generally reliable, although the data does not distinguish between civilians and combatants.

The continued strikes and casualties have raised fresh concerns over the durability of the ceasefire and the humanitarian situation facing Palestinians displaced by the conflict.
