At least 19 Palestinians have been injured in Israeli military raids and attacks by Israeli settlers across the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian health officials and local media reports.
Israeli forces shot and injured three Palestinians who were attempting to enter occupied East Jerusalem near the separation wall in the town of ar-Ram, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.
The incident was reported amid continuing restrictions on Palestinian workers who have been prevented from entering Israel for work since the war in Gaza began in October 2023.
In the northern West Bank, the Palestine Red Crescent Society said its medical teams treated at least 11 Palestinians, including four children, who suffered from tear gas inhalation during Israeli military raids in the Tubas Governorate.
Further violence was reported in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, where an elderly Palestinian man was beaten and injured by armed settlers. Israeli forces later raided his home, damaged belongings and confiscated the family’s phones, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
Two young Palestinian men were also taken to hospital after being beaten by Israeli settlers in Arrabeh, south of Jenin. In Tammun, in the Tubas area, a 15-year-old boy was hospitalised after what Palestinian medical officials described as a severe beating by settlers. Another child was reportedly injured in a separate settler attack in the same area.
The latest incidents came a day after Israeli forces and settlers killed two Palestinians in separate attacks in Hebron and Jenin.
Meanwhile, Palestinian families in Qusra, south of Nablus, remain surrounded in their homes by Israeli settlers. The Hassan and Abu Rida families have reportedly been under siege for 14 consecutive days, while Israeli forces have maintained a closed military zone around the area.
Residents have accused the Israeli military of failing to intervene against the settlers, raising concerns that the pressure could force the families from their homes.
The violence comes as settlement expansion and attacks on Palestinians continue across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
According to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, about 780,000 Israeli settlers now live across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem in approximately 192 settlements and 400 outposts.
United Nations figures show that more than 1,330 settler-related attacks against Palestinians were recorded between January and late July this year. The figure represents an average of about six attacks every day and is the highest rate recorded since the UN began systematically tracking such incidents two decades ago.
More than 2,300 Palestinians have also been forced from their homes this year because of settler violence or restrictions linked to the attacks, according to UN data.
The continuing violence has increased concerns over the safety of Palestinian communities in the West Bank, particularly in areas where settlement expansion and military operations have intensified.
