A London bus stop has been named after Nigerian mental health nurse and content creator Bemi Orojuogun, popularly known online as “Bus Aunty”, following her years of documenting her fascination with the city’s buses.
Orojuogun announced the recognition on Instagram, expressing appreciation to Transport for London (TfL), the agency responsible for the capital’s public transport network.
She also shared footage and photographs from the occasion, including images of herself with TfL staff.
Orojuogun rose to prominence through social media videos focused on London buses. Her distinctive clips often show her appearing to stand close to passing buses, prompting some viewers to question whether she was placing herself at risk.
She later clarified that the apparent proximity was created by camera angles and editing, stressing that she maintains a safe distance from the vehicles while recording her content.

The recognition comes shortly after she met Nigerian music star Davido during his London tour. Orojuogun had previously expressed interest in collaborating with the singer.
