A Russian drone barrage on Kyiv has killed a teenage boy and injured at least 20 people, Ukrainian officials said, as the latest wave of attacks caused damage across several parts of the capital.
The attack followed air-raid warnings in the Ukrainian capital, with one drone striking a residential building between the 10th and 11th floors.
At least seven people were initially reported injured, including a nine-year-old boy, as emergency crews evacuated residents and worked through shattered glass and debris.
The number of injured later rose to 20, with eight people taken to hospital for treatment, according to Ukrainian authorities.
Residential and other buildings were damaged in the Podilskyi and Solomianskyi districts, while another drone later struck a five-storey non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
The latest assault came a day after ballistic missile strikes killed two people and injured eight others in Kyiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said eight regions across the country came under Russian attack.
Ukraine said Russia launched 282 attack drones overnight, along with several types of missiles, in the latest large-scale assault.
The southern port city of Odesa was also hit, leaving one person dead and another injured, Ukrainian officials said.
Russia said its forces targeted Ukrainian defence and logistics facilities and denied deliberately attacking civilians.
Meanwhile, Russian authorities reported casualties from Ukrainian long-range strikes on Russian territory.
The latest attacks come amid continuing Russian-Ukrainian hostilities, with both sides carrying out regular drone and missile strikes against targets across the conflict zone.
