A man in his 60s in the United Kingdom has admitted drugging and sexually abusing his wife over more than two decades, pleading guilty to 60 offences.
The defendant, who lived in Stockport, Greater Manchester, cannot be named because identifying him could reveal the identity of his victim, who has automatic anonymity in sexual offence cases.
At Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, he admitted offences including rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and assault by penetration. Twenty one charges relate to rape. He also admitted offences involving the sharing of intimate images of his wife without her consent.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between November 2004 and October 2025 at the family home in the Stockport area. One charge states that he deliberately administered a substance to his wife with the intention of making her unable to resist sexual activity.
The man had already pleaded guilty to 15 charges in June. On Monday, he admitted a further 45 offences, bringing the total to 60.
His estranged wife was in court with relatives as he entered his pleas. She was visibly emotional during the hearing, while the defendant also became distressed and wept in the dock.
Twelve other men, aged between 28 and 74, have also been accused of sexual offences involving the same woman. They deny the allegations and their cases remain separate from the husbands admissions.
Greater Manchester Police said specialist support is being provided to the woman, describing the investigation as complex and the abuse as horrific.
Assistant Chief Constable Rick Jackson said people affected by drug facilitated sexual abuse should seek help even if they do not have clear memories or proof of what happened.
