A 26-year-old man found dead at a historic Bronze Age stone circle in England’s Peak District has been identified as Isaac Clare-Watts.
Emergency services were called to the Nine Ladies Stone Circle in Stanton Lees, Derbyshire, at approximately 1:38 p.m. on Monday, following reports of a serious incident after a summer solstice gathering. Isaac was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have launched a murder investigation and arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murder. The suspect remains in custody while detectives continue their inquiries.
According to authorities, Isaac’s family has been informed of his death and is receiving support from specially trained officers. Investigators have not yet released details about the circumstances surrounding the killing but described the case as a serious and ongoing investigation.
