A UK court has issued an arrest warrant for an alleged drug trafficker accused of orchestrating a fatal acid attack that claimed the life of fitness instructor Danny Cahalane.
Ryan Kennedy, also known as “Frost,” is wanted on charges of murder and attempted kidnap. Authorities believe he fled to Dubai before he could be brought before the court.
Cahalane was attacked outside his home in Plymouth, Devon, in February 2025 after allegedly becoming embroiled in a dispute over a £120,000 drug-related debt. He suffered severe burns from sulphuric acid and died from his injuries ten weeks later in a Bristol hospital.
The case has already led to the conviction of several people linked to the attack. Cahalane’s former wife, Paris Wilson, was found guilty of manslaughter and attempted kidnap but was acquitted of murder. Abdulrasheed Adedoja and Israel Augustus were convicted of murder, while Ramarnee Bakas-Sithole was convicted of manslaughter and attempted kidnap. Sentencing is scheduled for July 31 at Winchester Crown Court.
Court documents show that Kennedy is now the subject of a warrant for arrest without bail. Prosecutors allege he played a central role in planning the attack but was not present during the trial because he is believed to be living in Dubai.
The United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates have an extradition treaty covering serious offences such as murder, organised crime and drug trafficking. Any extradition request would require British authorities to provide an arrest warrant, evidence supporting the allegations, and detailed information about the suspect.
Devon and Cornwall Police declined to comment on the arrest warrant.
Following the convictions, Cahalane’s family said the verdicts brought “a sense of justice” but could never replace their loss. They described him as a devoted father and son, adding that organised crime had caused irreversible harm to their family and urging others to avoid involvement in criminal networks.
