Women in Oyo North Applaud Tinubu Over Support for Hannah Ogunesan’s APC Senatorial Bid
Commend President’s Commitment to Gender Inclusion and Women’s Political Participation
Women across Oyo North Senatorial District have praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what they described as a significant step toward promoting gender inclusion through the emergence of Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan as the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for the district.
In a statement made available to journalists, the women expressed appreciation to the President for supporting a development they said reflects a growing commitment to empowering women and expanding their role in leadership and governance.
According to the group, Mrs. Ogunesan’s candidacy represents a landmark moment for women in Oyo North, where women have consistently contributed to political growth and electoral victories but have historically had limited representation in elective offices.
