At least 14 people were killed and 57 others injured in Russian drone strikes across Ukraine between September 26 and 27, Ukrainian authorities said.
In Kyiv, a man was killed after a Russian drone struck a non-residential building in the Solomianskyi district early on September 27, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES).
Firefighters discovered the man’s body while battling a blaze at the site.
Elsewhere in the same district, another drone struck a single-storey vehicle service station, sparking a fire. Emergency crews brought the blaze under control before it could spread to a nearby food establishment.
The SES said both fires were extinguished at about 3am and released images showing firefighters working at the damaged sites.
The attacks came during a wider wave of overnight Russian drone strikes across Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia launched about 170 attack drones, including 76 jet-powered Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
In Kyiv, officials reported additional damage in the Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, including a school, warehouses and communications facilities.
Several people were injured in the capital, including two 16-year-old girls.
In the Odesa region, authorities said another mass drone strike killed one person and injured two others.
The attack damaged a residential building, a medical facility, a hotel, a shop and a grain storage facility, according to local officials.
The latest strikes form part of a continuing series of Russian attacks targeting Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure as the war continues.
Ukrainian authorities said the overall toll from the September 26–27 attacks stood at at least 14 dead and 57 injured across the country.
