The pupils and teachers who were abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have regained their freedom following a rescue operation by security agencies.
The development was announced on Friday by the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on his X account.
According to Onanuga, all the kidnapped pupils and teachers were successfully rescued by security operatives.
He also disclosed that one of the rescued teachers expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and the security agencies for securing their release.
The rescue brings relief to the victims’ families and marks the end of days of uncertainty following the abduction.
