Russia has successfully launched a military satellite into orbit aboard a Soyuz-2.1 rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region.
The Russian Defence Ministry said the launch was carried out by its Space Forces and that the spacecraft was placed into orbit for military purposes.
