The United States government has ordered AI company Anthropic to suspend access to its newest artificial intelligence models for all foreign nationals, citing national security concerns.
The directive affects Anthropic’s recently launched AI systems, Fable 5 and Mythos 5, which were introduced as part of the company’s latest advancements in generative AI technology.
Anthropic disclosed that the government’s order requires the company to block access to the models for non-US citizens both within and outside the United States. The company said the decision was based on national security authorities, although specific details were not publicly disclosed.
